A dynamic employment basin

The Béthune area is a region that is reaching on the economic front. It is the district that is the most industrialised in the Nord-Pas de Calais with a 52 % working population (30,000 industrial jobs and about 5,000 industrial concerns, of services and business) and more than 10.000 jobs created in 15 years.
Thus, the industrial fibre has a great capacity to resist cyclical factors and accordingly presents a more stable context, thus more comforting for the suppliers and the sub-contractors.
27 % of the population are less than 20 years old. About 24,000 pupils are schooled in 47 secondary establishments and 1,250 students in establishments for senior technicians.
